I have 35 years experience in commercial food styling including making the props food for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and Avatar, as well as packaging, advertising and editorial. Since moving to Perth from New Zealand 12 years ago I have added photography to my skill set and have shot for many iconic brands here in WA, as well as The New York Times and a variety of books. In 2021 I won the Marks & Spencer Food Portraiture category for my photograph of Mulled Pears in the prestigious Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year competition. I have the ability to work within the confines of a tight brief to realise your particular vision, and work equally well if given free rein to create beautiful food images that still fit with your brand. With today's technology I am able to shoot remotely executing both the styling and photography with as much or as little participation from you as you prefer.
