My path into directing grew naturally from years spent shaping food for the camera, learning how texture, movement, and light can bring out the beauty and appetite in every ingredient. My approach is rooted in observation and spontaneity. I listen to the food and stay open to what presents itself on set, a drip, a melt, an unexpected gesture that wasn’t on the storyboard but carries more appetite than what was planned. Those moments often become the story. By balancing intention with instinct, I direct food as a performer, capturing images that feel tactile, alive, and let the food speak for itself.
