This project challenged me to think beyond individual photographs and instead consider how every image would function as part of a cohesive product line. I was responsible for styling the fresh ingredient photography across all of the Poke Bowl packaging, ensuring that each recipe maintained its own identity while feeling unmistakably part of the WholeHearted brand. Consistency in color, scale, lighting, and composition became just as important as making each ingredient look fresh and appealing. The Chicken recipe required particular attention because the fresh ingredient photography needed to visually correspond with the engineered cross-section on the package. Every element was carefully styled so consumers could easily connect the hero ingredients with what they saw inside the bowl, creating an honest and compelling representation of the product.
This project strengthened my understanding of food styling as a branding tool rather than simply creating beautiful photographs. I learned how subtle decisions in composition, ingredient selection, color balance, and proportion contribute to a unified visual language across an entire product line. It reinforced the importance of maintaining consistency while allowing each package to communicate the unique character of its individual recipe.
