Styled the hero ingredient photography for WholeHearted's Limited Ingredient Diet Salmon & Sweet Potato Recipe for Petco. The goal was to showcase the product's premium, limited-ingredient formula through clean, vibrant ingredient styling that emphasized freshness, simplicity, and nutritional quality. The final imagery was developed for national retail packaging and e-commerce applications.
Salmon is a visually striking ingredient, but photographing it for packaging requires careful attention to color, texture, and moisture. The challenge was creating an image that felt fresh and appetizing while maintaining consistency with the overall Limited Ingredient Diet product line. I enjoy projects like this because they require balancing technical precision with creative styling to produce imagery that is both beautiful and commercially effective This project reinforced the importance of subtle styling decisions when working with fresh seafood. I refined techniques for preserving the natural color and texture of salmon under studio lighting while coordinating complementary ingredients that supported the product's clean, premium branding. It also strengthened my understanding of building visual consistency across a national packaging campaign while allowing each recipe to maintain its own distinct identity.
