Eggs as Art Objects: a creative collaboration anchored in treating known items outside of their expected context.
I created these eggs using a dye made from red onion skins, salt, and vinegar in an aluminum-magnesium alloy pot. After the dye was set I hand polished the eggs until they glowed like burnished wood. Amazing collaboration! The photographer, set stylist and I fed off of each other’s creativity and “egged” each other on. I’m so proud of this series!
