Creative Style
Yamhill Marketplace wanted to create a fresh new look to its newspaper and bus advertising. They wanted an inexpensive illustration style that would be unique and bold, but not lose the feeling of fresh seafood, artisan cheeses or kitchen bobbles to be found in their market. Eric Savage created a simple style that would be effective through the harshest printing processes and still look beautiful.
The simple, grease pencil on textured paper style was easy to reproduce across all printing styles and could easily add color accents for bold, attention-getting graphics.
